Ca’ Arte e Vacanze

Ca' Arte e Vacanze

a very unique and colorful detached house

The Apartment

Ca’ Arte e Vacanze is a large single house entirely at your disposal, the typical Chioggia house called ‘terra cielo’ because it is developed in height and on each floor, there are one or two rooms.

The name comes from the passion for art of Fabrizio, the owner, who created all the paintings in the house, in addition to painting the kitchen and even some of the furniture, creating a very special atmosphere throughout the house.

Onthe ground floor, there is a small half bathroom (without shower or bathtub). On the first floor, we find the sitting room and fully equipped kitchen, with oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

On the second floor, we find the bathroom, with shower and two sinks, and a bedroom with two single beds. On the third floor is a double bedroom, with exposed beams, and another room with bunk beds.
The accommodation is also equipped with heating, air conditioning, washing machine, free Wi-Fi, towels, and full bed linen.
If you too are passionate about art, Fabrizio will be very happy to show you his artwork, his workshop is near Ca’ Arte e Vacanze.
Maximum occupancy 6 people.

(Maggio 2022). Extremely clean townhouse, looks old outside but is top inside. The AC impressive: every room has an individual system with remote control. Top geographical position, close to everything. Quiet neighborhood.

Ca' Arte e Vacanze

The Tiozzo Family

Chioggia and Sottomarina are a bit like the Montagues and Capulets in Romeo and Juliet. The municipality of Chioggia includes two areas that are quite distinct for the population, and in the past even more so: Chioggia itself has always been devoted to fishing and Sottomarina, once an agricultural area, is now mostly a seaside resort. They are both part of the same city but with two totally different cultures.

I am Fabrizio and was born in Sottomarina, and have been married for 40 years to Alida, also from Sottomarina. We have lived most of our lives in Sottomarina and have now moved to Chioggia and live within walking distance of Ca’ Arte e Vacanze. All these goings-on between the Montagues and the Capulets in Chioggia have always amused us a great deal. I love painting and my passion has always driven me to portray every corner of my beloved city.

We are lucky because we have a fabulous historic center, an incredibly beautiful lagoon and amazing beaches, and every area of Chioggia lends itself to being painted.

When we decided to open our holiday home, we immediately thought of combining hospitality with art. We took care of the décor ourselves and chose from my paintings, trying to convey that human warmth that sets us apart.

I hope to host you and especially hope to meet you during your stay to tell you my story and show you my creations.
